Welcome to the Therapy Alchemist podcast. I'm your host, Katrina Austin, a therapist in Colorado. I'm here to talk not only about the science behind mental health, but the magical process of transformation. I.

HyperX QuadCast S & FaceTime HD Camera-1:

Hey guys, welcome back to the therapy optimist podcast. So I just want to kind of give an update for you guys. I have changed a lot of things and kind of really wanted to get clear on the direction that I'm taking this podcast so that you guys are kind of in, on this journey with me. So I decided with, The advice of a friend of mine to just really jump out and go into YouTube as well. So you guys will get to see the recording. Um, I originally stayed away from that just because I was like, Ooh, just talking into a microphone is already scary enough. Let alone like having to like, you know, use my eyes. so the therapy optimist YouTube channel is going to be up soon. So keep an eye out for that. Also I have changed my social media handles to be at the therapy Alchemist. So check those out. today I just really wanted to talk about. my vision for this podcast and what you guys have to look forward to. Some of the interviews that I'm going to have coming up and things like that. So. I've got several people lined up who are going to cover a vast array of different topics. some of those topics include, following your own personal legend, how do you follow your authentic self? How do you follow that passion and that drive that you have inside of you? And that interview is going to be with Calvin Corelli and that comes out on March 1st. So you guys definitely have to check that one out. It's a really, really great interview and his feedback on his journey and how he came to be the CEO of Simplero and his personal story is just incredible. So you guys. Definitely have to check that out. And another one that I have is also going to be over in fertility. So I have my friend Jenna, who's going to be joining me as well. And she has an infertility therapist. And so we're going to talk about all the struggles that come within fertility. And. You know, kind of get her advice and her take on things as an infertility therapist. So if this is something that you're going through or, you know, someone who's going through it, please keep an eye out for that one. I also am going to have an interview with one of my friends named John. About addiction. I'm going to talk to my friend, Neil about religious trauma.

HyperX QuadCast S & FaceTime HD Camera-3:

I'm also going to have a very fun and surprise guest who is a pelvic floor therapist in Denver, Colorado, who has an incredible account on Instagram. And she and I are going to talk about pelvic floor therapy. And I think this is something that Volvo owners definitely are going to want to listen to you, especially if you experienced pain during sex. I think we all kind of Expect pelvic floor therapy to be about post-birth. However, there is so much more to that one. So you guys want to stay tuned for that as well. I'm also going to have a former boss of mine who is one of the top district managers in, one of the nation's largest insurance companies. Talk about the psychology behind managing people. I often get a lot of clients who come to me for career advice and a lot of the career advice that I have learned. were from working for my former boss. And she is absolutely intelligent. It's going to be a really, really great interview. so I've got more people that I have thoughts of lined up, but you know, haven't reached out to everybody yet, but I want you guys to know that all of this stuff is coming up and it's really, really exciting. So we're going to kind of dip our hand into different topics. With people who I know who are experts in that field, who are experts in that specific thing. So keep an eye out for that. So this episode is just going to be a really quick and short one. I think. I I've been reading this book and it's directed towards therapist. And one of the things that really stood out to me was a chapter about. Being a fellow traveler of my clients. And this is something that I have taken to heart as a therapist, as I am also on this journey. And so. With the therapy optimist podcast. I think what I want to do is really kind of share a part of my story with you guys. While, simultaneously learning with everyone and just kind of taking you guys along my journey of growth and self discovery. something that I have found that tends to be. I believe helpful for my clients just based on the feedback that I get from them. Is it. Because I have walked this journey. And not all of the things and the advice that I give or the, you know, guidance that I give to my clients just comes from a textbook somewhere from research somewhere. A lot of it comes from my own personal journey and me watching others go through those journeys and asking a lot of questions. And so this podcast really is about the magic behind growth. What is the process actually look like? What does it feel like? And, you know, I want to give some of my own personal examples, maybe new discoveries that I have. Get people on my podcast who can answer questions that you guys have. if there's a topic that you're really, really interested in, Please let me know. So hit me up on social media, check out the therapy Alchemist on Instagram and take talk, send me a message there. if this is you're on YouTube, you know, please put in the comment section. What are some topics that you guys want to know about and want to learn about? And if it's something that I don't know. I will find an expert on that to try to bring in and help answer those questions that you guys have. Because we're all in this journey together. So as a fellow traveler. I want to heal together. We can all do this and learn and grow and kind of take away. I think a lot of the confusion around what's on the internet, because things can be very overwhelming and you can be fed a lot of information from people who don't know what they're talking about. And so. I really want to make this be a place that's full of. emotional nutrients for you guys so that there is something that you take away from every single session. Or every single podcast episode that, that I post. And as always, thank you guys for listening. Please hit that subscribe button and share with your friends. I think they, I'm going to cover a lot of different topics so that somebody, everybody in your life will have something that they can take away from things. So please, give me the feedback as well. I really want to know what you guys want to talk about. And what to learn about. I'm also just going to kind of follow my gut on this and really trust. my personal legend in my own journey to see where this takes us. I want to show up authentically for you guys. And it's risky. Being vulnerable on the internet. Right. You know, not everybody's going to like my specific flavor of ice cream, you know, but that's okay. I'm, you know, I'm building up the tough skin for that. But, if this seems to fit you and align with you and you're taking away things, you know, please stay in tune and follow me on social media. And we can go through this, this journey. Together. thank you guys for listening. Keep an eye out for all these really exciting interviews that I have coming up. And as a reminder, this is not therapeutic advice or a substitute for therapy. So if you are in need of a therapist, check below, I always have links to the different, websites that I think are going to be really helpful for you guys. If you're looking for a therapist in your area, so. Thanks. Again, hope you guys have a wonderful and beautiful February.
